After collecting the largest costume collection in North America, the Sarasota Opera planned to build a new building to house the inventory. Creating two areas, one for props and one for the costume collection, the warehouse was designed to provide easy access to both the stage props and scenery in oversized elongated storage bins and then a rack design for multiple levels of costume storage. The building was supported by an entry component that not only welcomed visitors, but also allowed for actual production and sewing of the world renowned costume collection.
